Hi, I’m Cristina. I help my clients stand out from the crowd and get to the next step in their careers.

A few years ago, a client who had taken a hiatus in her career for family reasons saw the final draft of her CV and said to me, “Is that really me? I never realized I had done so many things.”
“Of course,” I told her, “It’s the same information you gave me—and it is indeed exactly who you are!”
Job searching can be one of the most stressful times of a person’s life. I’m here to help.
Everyone deserves to have meaningful, fulfilling work that pays well. I help my clients land that kind of job faster by crafting a clear message about who they are and how they can solve a prospective employer’s problem.
In the end, that’s what you, as a job candidate, are doing: offering a solution that a company cannot find elsewhere. With that clarity and the right keywords, doors begin to open.
This is what makes writing CVs, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles so satisfying. I am an Academy Certified Resume Writer (ACRW), a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) and member of the PARW and Career Thought Leaders.
Since 2004, I have been helping professionals from every industry take the next step in their career.
Testimonials
If you need to be coached, you look for a coach. If you have a problem with the water pipes at home, you look for a plumber... Do you think you are good enough to write your resume on your own?

Jamás se me hubiera ocurrido este formato – está todo muy bien explicado. Se lo he enseñado a colegas y lo ven años luz del CV que estaba usando hasta el momento. ¡Muchas gracias!

I can’t believe this resume.
Have I really done all this?

More about me
Background:
I’ve lived back and forth between the United States and Spain throughout my life. I can write in eitherEnglish or Spanish and translate between them. Most importantly, I understand the nature of the job markets on both sides of the Atlantic and can support your job candidature in Europe or North America.
Why I do what I do:
If you’ve ever been to one of my workshops, I speak about real people whom I have come across in my writing and career advising. The stories of David, Luis and Karen most likely will strike a chord with you. They, like most people, had trouble identifying their own value and talents, achievements and milestones, let alone those that really speak to their target audience. That means that before we met, they were conducting job searches in which their wow factor, their proudest moments, rarely made it onto paper, LinkedIn or into recruiters’ hands. And the job search just dragged on, chipping away at their energy and increasing their self-doubt: I thought I was qualified, but why am I not getting any calls for interviews?
After I listened to their stories, I was left thinking this:
Why didn’t David mention that marketing plan on his CV? He designed and executed it for the small start-up, with dramatic increase in online presence, followers and the start of online sales?
Or didn’t Luis realize that his patented product was evidence of his innovative thinking? Why did he just say “innovative thinker” in that list of skills that people include in their CVs without any evidence to support their claims? (Hint: no recruiter pays them too much heed if skills are just thrown into a list with no connection to real contributions.)
And Karen…what an incredible increase in her client portfolio, so why didn’t she have the starting figure on her CV? The comparison over the relatively short period of time speaks volumes about her talent, and it would have helped her really stand out from her competition.
If you’re like the above clients, you are not acknowledging your own value, and therefore, you will not be able to communicate it to employers. The result is falling short of your potential. And how sad for you and companies! You are not accessing the best opportunities for your talents and they are missing out on people like you who can really make a difference.
It’s my job to foster and inspire the self-awareness, language and self-marketing tools to link clients like David, Luis and Karen (and maybe you too) with better opportunities for personal and professional growth.
And more about why I love to do what I do:
The quote below links the kid in me with my passion working as wordsmith to help professionals develop and achieve their goals. It tells why the power of words and storytelling are important for everyone, no matter their profession, whether real or imagined.
“…If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer…
If you’re a pretender, come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!”
-Shel Silverstein
(Just a quick note: I generally don’t work with magic bean buyers and prefer not to work with liars. But dreamers, wishers and hopers abound in my work and are welcome!)
